about

Dan Marsh and I wrote this one. Among other things it's about the strangeness of every day life.

lyrics

Funny How It All Goes On

Ain't it funny how it all goes on
Funny How It all goes on
People sleeping in houses all night long
I'm getting up with the crack of the dawn
And the people that I meet on the street
turn me on
Ain't it funny how it all goes on

Ain't it funny how it all goes on
Funny How It all goes on
Politicians and prophets, promised lands
The Stars and bars and last stands
Folks stuck at the office too much time
on their hands
Ain't it funny how it all goes on

Some folks wish they could
fly over the rainbow
touch the moon and the stars
Me, I eat my Milky Way candy bar,
count all the stars on the wrapper,
think about where I'd like to be.

Ain't it funny how it all goes on
Funny How It all goes on
Children build stand castles on the beach
The castles fall beneath the high tide's reach
And I play on the corner, my songs
a dollar each
Ain't it funny how it all goes on

Funny how it all goes on
Funny how it all goes on

about

Kent McDaniel Chicago, Illinois

First band Kent ever saw was Salty Gamblin & The Mudcat Band. Spring Fest, his 5th grade year. They walked out, plugged in, looked at everybody. Had electric guitar, bass, & drums--& Salty on acoustic & vocals. Bam, they tore into "I Saw The Light." Chills shot up & down Kent's body.
He saved up & got a Gibson Melody Maker. Played & sang ever since. Never means to stop.
